Apple Season!

Fall means apple season! Chef Anne Quinn Corr, shares a recipe for Hasselbeck Apples. Plus, a lesson in cider making courtesy of Good Intent Cider!

Good Intent Cider is a family owned and operated cidery located in the heart of Pennsylvania apple country. They strive to make the best cider and set themselves apart from the competition by adding no water and very little sweetness.

Hasselback Apples

Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

1 Honey crisp or Granny Smith apple

1 tablespoon melted butter

1 tablespoon brown sugar

½ teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 400F

2. Halve and core the apple

3. Make vertical slices in each apple 1 cm thick, stopping 2 cm from the bottom of each apple half 4. Mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon and baste the apple halves 5. Bake for 20 minutes
