Safeguard children, pets, and emergency responders by getting rid of your household hazardous chemicals.

The Centre County Recycling & Refuse Authority will conduct a collection event on Friday, April 28 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday, April 29 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. They will accept insecticides, weed killers, pool chemicals, cleaners, poisons, corrosives, flammables, oil based paints, CFL bulbs and most other hazardous chemicals from households only. Items can be dropped off at the Recycling & Refuse Authority located at 253 Transfer Road near the Nittany Mall off Route 26.

They will NOT accept latex paint, used motor oil, antifreeze, medications, or alkaline batteries.
