Because of expected rain, Penn State’s Wednesday night game against No. 20 West Virginia is canceled.

Penn State athletics announced the change in a media release Wednesday.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Due to forecasted rainy weather, tonight’s Penn State baseball game against West Virginia, originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, has been canceled.

 

In another schedule alteration, the start time of Sunday’s game at Illinois has been moved an hour earlier to noon CT/1 p.m. ET.

 

Fans with tickets for tonight’s game or any other postponed or canceled game this season can redeem them at the State College Spikes box office for any other 2019 Penn State baseball game.

 

The scheduled bucket hat giveaway for the first 100 fans through the gates has been postponed to next Wednesday’s game against Lafayette.

 

Penn State will next play a three-game series at Illinois, opening Friday at 8:30 p.m. live on BTN.
