Jarred Romesburg and his sister, Jonna, opened up their store Scrubs 911 last year, selling clothing and shoes for people in medical professions.

The siblings are both from Somerset and said they wanted to give back to the community and the people who shop at their store. They’re donating 20 percent of sales they make from Mon. 3/27 to Fri. 3/31 to the Somerset Hospital Auxiliary to help purchase new cardiac ventilators and anesthesiology machines for Somerset Hospital.

“Since a good number of our customers work at Somerset Hospital, we thought this would be a good way to give back to the hospital to help them get the stuff they need for our community,” said Jarred Romesburg, the owner of Scrubs 911.

The store owners said they don’t have a set number of how much they want to raise, they are just hoping for a lot of business so they can give back to the hospital as much as possible.

Last year, the Somerset Hospital Auxiliary made a pledge to raise $270,000 to buy the equipment for Somerset Hospital.

Sally McClintock, the auxiliary president, said they’re planning fundraisers in May and September, but they’re grateful Scrubs 911 is helping them reach their goal.

“We are a local community hospital and we rely on the local community to support us. So anytime we have a fundraiser, we depend on the support we get from the local community,” said McClintock.

Jarred said his family has visited Somerset Hospital many times over the years, so he’s glad to help in any way he can.

“Both of my kids were born at Somerset Hospital. With kids you always have visits to the hospital and doctors. Again, we live here. It’s our hospital. We want to make sure we do everything we can to make the hospital as good as it can be,” Romesburg said.
