A Bedford County organization needs your help to build an area Veteran a new home.
Habitat for Humanity in Bedford County is hosting a benefit dinner on April 1st at the Bedford Elks. Tickets for the fundraiser are $20 and can be purchased at the Visitors Center.
The executive director, Brenda Bomblosky, says they need $65,000 to break ground on the home’s construction.
Tuesday, volunteers packed baskets in preparation for the event. They hope to get as many people involved as they can.
“We’re also hoping that we can reach out to the veterans associations, like the Legions and VFWs also for some support and help. Plus we got a lot of help from local churches,” Bomblosky said.
