PETERS, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a Pennsylvania man sent explicit text messages to three teenage girls, including one who he believed was “inhabited by the soul” of a dead, former girlfriend.
Peters police say 44-year-old Robert Keller is charged with interfering with the custody of a child, corruption of minors, harassment and furnishing alcohol to minors. They say two 16-year-old girls accepted invitations to visit his home, but a 17-year-old declined.
Keller allegedly told authorities that he believed a former girlfriend’s soul “inhabited” one of the younger girls. They say he told her to leave her cellphone elsewhere so her mother couldn’t track her location when she visited him and researched how she could be emancipated from her parents.
It wasn’t known Saturday if Keller has retained an attorney.
