Everett School District officials say they’re looking at a budget that has a $590,000 deficit for next year.

The district has $20.2 million preliminary budget right now but hope to whittle it down.

The superintendent says the district had unexpected cost increases and revenue reductions this school year.

Concerns include tuition for cyber school students as well as a retirement contribution increase of about $286,000.

The budget is expected to be addressed at the June 8th work session.
