A dedication ceremony for the new Forest Hills Junior-Senior High School took place Friday.
Construction on the new building was completely by January, before the new semester. The project cost $49 million dollars and came in $800,000 under budget.
The school district superintendent said he’s excited for everyone to use the space for years to come.
“It wasn’t a relief because it was a pleasure to do this for the district and the community. We worked as a team with school board members and community members and school board staff and teachers and brought it together. It’s a great feeling,” said Ed Bowser, the Forest Hills School District superintendent.
The student parking lot still needs to be paved and some landscaping work needs to get done.
An open house will be held on June 3rd for anyone in the community.
