SHENANGO TOWNSHIP, MERCER COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A woman in Shenango Township is facing 104 total charges of animal cruelty, animal neglect, and unsanitary living conditions for hoarding 57 dogs in her home. 

The Humane Society of Mercer County raided the house on Friday night, where they found 47 of the dogs alive, and 10 of them dead. 

The woman faces 10 charges of aggravated animal cruelty, which can lead up to 7 years in prison and $7,500 fine per felony. She will also face another 94 misdemeanor charges, including 47 charges of neglect to animals and 47 charges of unsanitary living conditions. The 94 charges can lead up to 2 years in prison and a $2,500 fine per charge.

All of this according to Lead Humane Officer Paul Tobin for the Humane Society of Mercer County.

Charges are expected to be filed on Monday.
