Police are investigating an armed robbery in Tyrone, Blair County.
Around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, Tyrone Police say a white man wearing dark pants, a dark shirt, and a black ski mask walked into the Choice store along 10th Street and threatened the cashier with a knife.
He was given an unknown amount of cash and ran west towards Burley Avenue.
On Thursday, police arrested Cody Shawver, 28, of Tyrone in connection with this incident. He is being charged with robbery. He received additional charges for resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, open lewdness and criminal mischief. He is on $150,000 straight bail for the robbery case and $15,000 straight bail on the additional charges.
Shawver’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 29.
