ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) – Coroners from several counties in our area came together to present their newest disaster response trailers.

Officials from Blair, Bedford and Cambria counties showed the different kits and equipment in each trailer that helps them while working in disaster situations.

Blair County Coroner, Patty Ross, said it’s important for folks to understand what happens when they arrive on scene. “The coroner has to be able to coordinate the actual death and find the cause and manner of the deceased,” she stated and went on to say “whether it’s a one-person scene or a 20-person scene, it is our responsibility.”

There are four disaster response trailers throughout the state that are available in case of emergencies.
