The West Branch Area School District in Clearfield County is warning parents about the possible spread of whooping cough.

In a letter sent to parents last Thursday the district announced that some kids may have come into contact with a person who had whooping cough.

If your child shows symptoms like coughing, vomiting, or turning blue you should take them to a doctor right away.

To prevent the illness from spreading, any kids who come down with whooping cough won’t be allowed back at school until they have started taking medication for at least 5 days.
