A Johnstown teenager who’s been convicted of shooting his own father, will spend up to three years behind bars.

Officials say Jamil Branche shot his father Weldon and sent him to the hospital back in February.

According to the Tribune Democrat in addition to yesterday’s sentence the 16 year old was also ordered to pay more than $100,000 for his father’s medical expenses.

He’s currently behind bars at the Cambria County Jail.
