Local businesses got some help from Google Monday to improve their online presence.
Google hosted a free seminar in Johnstown Monday to show local businesses how to build a website or improve an existing one.
The Bridge to Pittsburgh Initiative brought Google employees to town to help connect Cambria county with the technology industry in Pittsburgh.
Project coordinators say it’s all about improving the local economy.
“We want to help small businesses as much as we can in that effort,” said John Dubnansky, the project coordinator for Bridge to Pittsburgh. “By helping them on this side where they’re improving their online presence, we hope they increase their business and ultimately hire more people in their local area.”
Since the seminar was successful, Dubnansky says Google will be back in the future.
