In a 7-3 vote, the Punxsutawney School Board has decided to move forward with a reconfiguration plan for the district.

Under this plan, all 6 elementary schools in the district will move into one building.

The current middle school will house kindergarten through 6th grade. While the high school will hold 7th through 12^th grades.

To accommodate the students, an $8.5 million construction project will begin to the two buildings in December.

The changes will take place for all students in fall of 2018.
