The Woods-Brown Mansion in Huntingdon was built in 1874 by noted attorney William H. Woods. Joel and Barbara Brown bought the house 13 years ago and have been restoring it ever since.

Each December for the last 6 years they’ve opened the mansion for a 1-day holiday open house to benefit a local charity. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, December 2 from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm for an admission of $5 to benefit local food banks.

During the year, the Browns rent out the downstairs for special occasions and they give private tours to groups of 10 or more. The house is located at 1001 Washington Street in Huntingdon. Call (814) 643-6153 for more information.
