SIX MILE RUN, BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Bedford County man was killed in a farming accident this afternoon.

According to the Bedford County coroner, 68-year-old Robert McCartney III was killed at a home along Longs Run Road in Six Mile Run around 2:45 p.m.

He was working on a brush hog grass mower when the jack holding it up gave out causing the mower to land on his torso.
