UPDATE 9/4/20 — The Bedford County Coroner has confirmed the identity of the driver involved in a fatal car crash on Tuesday Morning in East Providence Township.

The driver identified as 30-year-old Marah E. Wolfe of Fishertown reportedly died from blunt force trauma to the head and chest from the crash.

EVERETT, Pa. (WTAJ) — One person is dead after an early-morning crash off of Rt. 30. Crews were called to the scene just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday along Nycum Road along Lincoln Highway in Bedford County.

We’re told by emergency dispatch that multiple fire crews were called to the scene as a car went off the road and caught fire. The charred vehicle went over the guardrail and down an embankment on the side of the road.

Pennsylvania State Police were on the scene investigating. The road where the crash occurred was temporarily closed down but has since reopened.

A woman was killed in the crash. An autopsy conducted by the Bedford County Coroner on Tuesday afternoon determined that blunt force trauma to the head and chest was the cause of death.
