A new certification for the Clearfield Career and Technology Center is making it more convenient to obtain a trucking license.
The trucking center has been working for years to obtain the OK from the state to become a CDL Licensing Center. Now students can take their test right on site after their training courses are complete.
The cost is included in the tuition.
“We’re very lucky at CCCTC to where the transportation companies come looking to us looking for drivers,” Trucking Instructor Doug McClellan said. “Our reputation is been built up over the last couple of years. Most of the majors are calling us saying ‘how many do you have in your class this month?””
The school will also allow non-stduents to take their test on site for $200.
