The Crime Victim Center of Erie invited Altoona teen Tommy Williams to talk about his survival of sexual assault on Thursday.

When the 15-year-old found out Tm Tebow was playing baseball against the SeaWolves that same weekend, he did everything he could do to meet the player.

“My face was like wow, this is happening,” he told us.

It was all smiles Sunday afternoon as Williams got to crack a joke to Tebow.

“I told him about parkour and he said if I did parkour I would break my ankles,” he explained. “I said ‘yeah because every time you get a scratch your cash value goes down.'”

Tebow is the teen’s idol. They chatted about things they like to do and how they use scripture in their daily lives.

The player also gave some words of wisdom, but he too was inspired.

Tommy was sexually assaulted by his half-brother when he was only 8-years-old. He told us he now tells his story to give other survivors a voice.

Williams came back to Altoona with a signed baseball, some autographs and a lifetime of memories. However, he also came back with the lesson to keep helping others.

“[Tebow] prayed over me and he said hopefully God can give me good intentions for life and lead me on the right path,” Williams said.

The two parted ways with that prayer and a quick role reversal when Tebow asked Williams for his autograph.
