(CNN) — A new study suggests thousands of Americans get cancer from a poor diet.

Researchers found an estimated 80,000 new cancer cases in 2015 linked to poor diets.

They say cancer risks have been associated with not eating enough whole grains and dairy products. Eating too much processed meat, and red meat in general, was also a factor.

The most common cancers caused by those diets are Colon and Rectal cancer.

African-Americans and Latinos, along with men who are 45 to 64 years old, are most likely to be affected.
