A concert will help raise money for a local, free health clinic.
Highlands Health Clinic is hosting its annual fundraiser on Saturday, August 25.
There will be a concert featuring Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers and The Clarks.
Highlands Health runs a free clinic in Johnstown and Somerset. They offer free medical care, evaluations, testing and prescriptions to people who can’t afford it.
“All the funds that we raise from the program will go directly to the patients for their care, for their pharmaceuticals,” said Rosalie Danchanko, the executive director of Highlands Health. “After all, I have beautiful people that are volunteers that provide the services.”
Organizers hope to raise $8,000. So far, they’ve sold 350 tickets.
The event will take place at Peoples Natural Gas Park in Johnstown. Doors open at 6 p.m. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $25 at the gate.
