Penn State is offering new live entertainment before their football games.

Live entertainment will perform on a stage just south of the stadium on Curtin Road prior to and after the team arrival. Bands are scheduled to play at five home games. This Saturday, Velveeta will play from 11:30 a.m. until the gates open at 1:30 p.m.

Fans are also encouraged be environmentally responsible, as they take part in Game Day recycling. Blue recycling bags and clear trash bags are located throughout Beaver Stadium parking lots. Bottles and cans should only be placed in the blue recycling bags. All other trash can be placed in the clear trash bags.

Penn State is offering concessions discounts for fans who arrive early to the stadium. Beaver Stadium gates open this Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Fans will receive up to a 20% discount on concessions during the first 45 minutes after the gates open.

Fans are also reminded about the 300-foot security buffer, increased police visibility, and Penn State’s Athletics bag policy. Fans will be asked to remove items from their pockets upon entering the stadium, in addition to metal detection screening at the entry gate.

Fans who purchase parking passes in advance will receive a discounted price compared to game day parking. Tickets purchased in advance cost $22.25, while game day parking tickets cost $60.
