An annual program to help keep kids in need warm, is now accepting donations.

The Toasty Toddler Program, through the Family Resource Center at United Way, gives kids from newborns to 5-years-olds, new coats, hats and gloves. Donations are being accepted at Family Resource Center at United Way of Blair County, county libraries, and numerous area churches, businesses and agencies.

Items needed range in size from newborn to size 7/8. Monetary donations are welcome as well.

Families can register for the program by calling 814- 317-5567 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. from October 1 to October 31. Families can register children from newborns through 5-year-olds.

The first distribution is set for November 9 at 208 Hollidaysburg Plaza in Duncansville.

Other donation sites include: Altoona Sunrise Rotary, Altoona Area Public Library, Bellwood-Antis Public Library, Blair County Department of Social Services, Faith United Church of Christ, Hollidaysburg Public Library, Home Nursing Agency, Penn Dot Engineering District 9-0, Penn-Mont Academy, Penn-Mont at Penn State, Smith Transport, Roaring Spring Community Library, UPMC Altoona and Kohl’s Cares for Kids.
