Tonight, a special vigil was held in Hollidaysburg in honor of the victims of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting.
Hundreds of people of all faiths gathered inside the Zion Lutheran Church for that candlelight ceremony.
We spoke to several people who say that during sad times like this, the community always shows its true colors.
Hollidaysburg resident Dennis Rodriguez told us “It just gave me a sense of hopefulness that we have a community that’s willing to come together and show that hatred will not prevail here.”
That vigil wrapped up around 8:30 tonight with a special prayer across the street in the Blair County Courthouse.
