Police have arrested a man for receiving stolen property, fleeing, and eluding police.

Javier Cantos Jr., 23, of Hollidaysburg entered the Ford Courtesy Dealership and stole a 2018 Lincoln Continental.

At 11:41 p.m. Thursday, Troopers saw the car on Old Route 22 in Allegheny Township in Blair County.

A traffic stop was initiated, and while Cantos initially pulled over, he soon fled at a high speed. A pursuit followed and Cantos traveled South on Old U.S. 220 and onto Interstate 99.

Police deployed spike strips as well as Pursuit Intervention Technique maneuver, successfully bringing the car to a stop.

Cantos was taken into custody and was determined to be under the influence of drugs as well as possessing marijuana and paraphernalia.

He is currently being held in the Blair County Jail on theft charges. Charges are pending for receiving stolen property, fleeing and eluding, recklessly endangering another person, DUI, drug possession, and numerous traffic violations.
