Dozen attended a special menorah lighting ceremony in honor fo the first night of Hanukkah, just days after the menorah outside a Penn State fraternity house was vandalized.

The menorah outside Zeta Beta Tau was broken on Friday.

Sunday night, the ceremony went on as planned.

“Still in the face of that, they still persevered and they decided now that we’re going to still add light. We’re going to have the menorah here and it’s an amazing thing,” said Rabbi Nosson Meretsky, the director of Penn State Chabad.

University officials said they’re going to do everything they can to promote a safe, inclusive and respectful campus environment.

They’re encouraging anyone who witnesses intolerance ot report it anonymously to the PSU hotline: 800-560-1637.
