UPDATE 10/30/19 8:01 PM — Clearfield County coroner Kim Synder Shaffer says the second child, age 7, that was flown to the hospital has died.
UPDATE 10/28/19 2:05 PM — Officials have ruled the fire accidental, saying it was caused by an overloaded electrical circuit.
A state police fire marshal reports the house did not have smoke detectors.
Damage is estimated at $150,000.
CLEARFIELD COUNTY (WTAJ) — Two people are dead after a house fire on Jury street in Lawrence Township early Monday morning.
The Clearfield County Coroner has confirmed to us that a 51-year-old Mary Beth Erickson and a 6-year-old girl have both died as a result of the fire.
We are also told 2 patients were taken to a Pittsburgh hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.
Crews were first called out to the scene around 2:30 A.M. At least 8 companies responded.
