One person is hurt after a house fire in DuBois late Monday night.
The DuBois Fire Department was called to Arminta Street just before midnight.
DuBois Fire Chief Joe Mitchell said when crews arrived they found two people on the front porch roof.
Crews rescued them without any injuries.
A third person was able to escape the home but suffered a second degree burn, Laurel Poulson, one of the tenants of the house, said.
“A few bumps and a few bruises and some fairly good burns on the boy, but we were safe,” tenant Laurel Poulson said. “We are all together and we were safe and that is what’s important.”
The fire started at the bottom of the stairs, and that’s why the two victims went out on the roof.
Firefighters were also able to save the two dogs and three cats in the house.
The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
