What started as a traffic stop for failing to stop at a stop sign in the area of  Medlar Drive at Pompano Drive in White Township quickly turned into a series of charges for 30-year-old Jeremy Clawson of Earnest, Pa.

Pennsylvania State Police say after pulling Clawson over, they found he was wanted on felony charges. Clawson was taken into custody. That’s when police say they found marijuana on him.

Police say they also found a two-liter plastic bottle in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Inside were materials believed to make methamphetamine, otherwise known as the “one-pot” method for making meth.

The Pennsylvania State Police Clandestine Laboratory Response Team were called to the scene to safely process, inventory, and collect the suspected meth materials. The Indiana Fire Association was also called to the scene as a precaution.

Clawson was charged for nine crimes: Operating a Methamphetamine Laboratory, Causing or Risking Catastrophe, Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Deliver, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana, Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked (DUI-Related), Stop Signs and Yield Signs, and Careless Driving.
