For some people who work outside, cold weather isn’t going to stop them from doing their jobs.

The one thing those workers said they plan to do is bundle up.

“Two, three pairs of socks, pajamas, pants, Carharts, hoodies with faces, and jump around a lot. it’s cold,” Dennis Rebuck, owner of Rebuck’s Southside Service, a towing and auto repair shop in Punxsutawney, said.

Rebuck said they’ll be out in the frigid temperatures working because cold weather means more cars that need a jump or a tow.

“We try to get out, get it loaded, do what we have to do, get back in the truck,” he said.

Another service that won’t stop in the cold is your newspaper delivery.

Jody Watts delivers newspapers for the Punxsutawney Spirit.

She said she and her husband have a similar plan to beat the cold while getting papers to people’s doorsteps.

“Just keep bundled and run as quick as we can to each house and back to the car,” Watts said.

If you’ll be out working in the cold, the best thing to do is dress warmly, limit your time outside and take breaks as needed.
