Apple says FaceTime will be safe to use again next week.
The company issued a statement saying a software update that patches a security flaw in the app will be rolled out next week.
The bug allowed callers using the software’s group-calling feature to access recipients’ microphones and cameras without them picking up the call.
It was reported by a family and flagged Monday by Apple News Website Nine-to-Five Mac.
Apple quickly disabled the group-calling functionality on its servers after confirming the bug.
That feature will be re-enabled with the coming software update.
