WASHINGTON D.C. (WTAJ) — The David H. Koch Hall of Fossils – Deep Time at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. reopens this Saturday.

It’s been closed for the last five years.

The new exhibit features around 700 fossils, including everything from giant dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus Rex to reptiles and mammals to fossilized plants and insects.

The museum says, “the exhibition tells the story of 3.7 billion years of life on earth, highlighting the connections among ecosystems, climate, geological forces and evolution and encouraging visitors to understand that the choices they make today will have an impact on the future.”
