Emergency crews were busy this morning across the area dealing with several crashes in our area.

All lanes of I-99 between the Roaring Spring exit and Claysburg exit are still shut down in both directions, after a tractor trailer crashed around 6:30 a.m. Monday. The road opened around 1:30 p.m.

The driver lost control of the 2016 Freightliner near mile marker 21.0 and the truck began to fishtail. The truck jack knifed and struck the crash cushion in the center median with the passenger side of the tractor, before overturning.

The driver was taken to UPMC Altoona for injuries sustained in the crash.
