There could be a major expansion in the recall of faulty Takata brand air bags that explode with too much force. 

 

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said air bag inflators in 85 million more cars and trucks on U.S. roads need to be replaced, unless Takata can prove they’re safe.

 

Officials warn that car recalls should be taken seriously, especially when related to the air bag.
