Sourceree, a government contractor that produces computer software, is moving its headquarters, but keeping it in Ebensburg. The founder and president of the company said although they need the new location to expand, this move is more about helping his employees find harmony in their work and home life.

Adam Murphy, the company’s founder and president, said the new headquarters will have features like collaborative work spaces and a gym, which will heighten employee moral.

“We can allow employees to not only have a good work environment, but also outside of work have a good home life, whereas most places in the cities and others don’t provide that ability for their employees, ” Murphy said.

He added that bringing the headquarters to the Ebensburg Industrial Park introduces new opportunities in the region.

“We also are trying to bridge out and go towards Pittsburgh and those area and, with the help from the bridge to Pittsburgh effort from both Johnstown and what’s coming up in Altoona, we’re looking to help and do what we can to be a part of those organizations and help bring more business to the region and grow other industries as well,” Murphy said.

He said he wants the community to get involved with some of the design aspects of the new headquarters. He reached out to local schools to see if some of the students will help create a mural for the headquarters that represent the community and the company working together.
