Former Pittsburgh Steeler standout Rocky Bleier was the featured speaker at the Central Blair Rec Commission Dinner this weekend.

He talked about how important it is for people to take ownership in recreational activities and provide the services that are needed for the youth.

“I think it’s very important for communities to do this to recognize people for their contributions but more importantly to be able to support the organized activities that they have for inner city kids, for underprivleged kids,” he said.

Bleier said he wants to see all kids have the same recreational opportunities.
