HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, BEDFORD COUNTY, PA. (WTAJ) — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today that Web-Brooke Contracting Inc., of Three Springs, will begin work on the bridge carrying T-532 over Pipers Run in Hopewell Township, Bedford County, starting on Tuesday, June 11.
The contractor will implement an 8.4-mile detour that will follow West Cypher road to Route 1009 (Plank Road) to Route 26 (Raystown Road).
Work on the bridge will involve removal and replacement of the bridge superstructure, rehabilitation of existing abutments and wing-walls. The project also includes minor roadway approach work along with guide rail updates.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of July 2019.
All work is weather dependent.
