Penn State men’s basketball team kicked the crab out of Maryland Wednesday night.

The team took down the Terrapins 78-61 behing strong perfromances from the team’s freshmen and leader.

Go-to scorer Lamar Stevens led all players with 24 points. Freshmen Myles Dread added 16 points. The combination of three freshmen (Dread, Rasir Bolton and Myreon Jones) combined for 33 points on the night.

According to a Penn State Athletics spokesperson, the win is Pat Chambers 14th over ranked opponents in his time at Penn State. That is the most of any Penn State coach in history.
