The Central Cambria School District hasn’t had any upgrades to its athletic facilities since the 1990’s but administrators say they are now working on a long-term plan for change.

The plan would include upgrades to the existing football, baseball, softball, and practice fields.

There are few grant options available, so officials want to take their plans to the School Board.

Central Cambria Superintendent Dr. Vincent G. Dileo says the whole process will take some time.

“It’s not going to be a short-term fix. These fields and facilities didn’t get to this point over night and they’re not going to be enhanced or modified overnight,” he said.

As of right now, there is no current time table for the project due to the high cost.
