State College Police are warning residents about another phone scam.
This time, the suspect is requesting the victim to provide the number of a prepaid gift card in order to avoid being arrested.
The suspect has a foreign accent and used the name of a State College Police employee.
The police department wants to remind residents that they will never ask for money in the form of a gift card or money wire.
