Today, Secretary of Community and Economic Development Dennis Davin took a tour of the Roaring Spring Water Plant.

This is one of many stops for Davin on the “Jobs That Pay Tour” — which highlights companies in the state that show strong support for its employees. It’s also an opportunity to promote Governor Wolf’s commitment to raise the minimum wage in Pennsylvania.

“The idea is that if the minimum wage is increased to $10.15, it’ll reduce poverty in Pennsylvania by roughly nine percent and it will affect about 160,000 Pennsylvania families,” Davin said.

Minimum wage is currently $7.25. Roaring Spring Water pays its employees anywhere from $11.75 to $18.75.
