A newly formed coalition against opioid addiction, formed in Centre County, is taking on the fight against addiction.
The Heroin, Opioid, Prevention, Education – or “HOPE” Coalition – will host a town hall meeting on July 26.
Their goal is to prevent and reduce the number of overdoses and overdose-related deaths in Centre County. The county coroner’s office reported 15 overdose deaths in 2014, 15 in 2015 and 12 to date in 2016.
The town hall will be held in the Galen and Nancy Dreibelbis Auditorium at Mount Nittany Medical Center beginning at 7:00 p.m.
