A Clymer man is behind bars, accused of assaulting an officer and leading police on a chase.
It allegedly happened Saturday evening, just before 5:00 p.m.
Police said 41 year old Walter Parks was stopped on State Route 422 in White Township, when he fled from police and led them on a chase to Rexis Road in Buffington Township, Indiana County.
Parks allegedly drove through agricultural property, nearly hit one state trooper’s car and drove into the driver’s side door of another trooper’s car.
He is facing several charges, including aggravated assault, recklessly endangering and resisting arrest.
