A police officer is in the hospital and the suspect is reportedly dead after a shooting Tuesday in Michigan.
According to Kalamazoo Public Safety, officers were called to the east part of the city Tuesday morning after a report of shots fired.
Public safety officials have not released any details on the shooting at this time.
But affiliate WWMT reports it happened at the Grifols Biomat USA Plasma Center.
WWMT also states a male officer was shot…and police shot and killed the suspected shooter.
In a statement, the Kalamazoo Public Safety says the injured officer was taken to the hospital for treatment.
No word on his condition but his injuries are not life-threatening.
