A hay silo burst into flames Tuesday afternoon  in Everett, Bedford County.

It happened just before 2:3 p.m. at a farm along Snake Spring Upper Road.

The Everett Fire Chief says the cause of the fire was a mechanical issue with the silo uploader. An uploader is a device that helps fill the silo.

Multiple companies were on scene and had to bring in water from a pond about two miles down the road. The farm owners say that they just used the silo uploader earlier the same day.

Charles Scott, Fire Chief, Everett Volunteer Fire Company, says not much damage was done.

No one was injured in the blaze.
