The sting from the NEC Championship game still lingers for Saint Francis, but there will be more basketball played this year.
The Red Flash found out Sunday night they earned a spot in the NIT where they will take on Indiana at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, IN. It is the first time Saint Francis has received a berth to the NIT since 1958.
Saint Francis is a No. 8 seed and will play No. 1 seed Indiana at 7 p.m. Tuesday televised on ESPN.
Saint Francis was the top seed in the Northeast Conference Tournament before falling to Fairleigh-Dickinson for the automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. The Red Flash will now look to show off their talents in the NIT.
