A 2 month old girl is in the hospital and her father is facing charges.
State Police say Brandon Leer, 23, of Friedens became angry with is daughter when she would not stop crying.
Police say Leer shook her for nearly a minute. The little girl was unresponsive and Leer called 911.
According to police, the victim suffered the traumatic brain injury Sunday night around 10 o’clock at a home along Point Park Lane in Somerset Township, Somerset County.
She was flown to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. State Police say the infant suffered a Bi-Lateral Subdural Hemorrhage and a contusion to the forehead.
The 2 month old is now on life support in the Intensive Care Unit in Pittsburgh.
Leer is facing aggravated assault, simple assault and other related charges. He’s currently in the Somerset County Jail on $50,000 cash bond.
Leer is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on October 4th.
