In recent years, researchers and doctors have issued conflicting advice about the age at which a woman should undergo her first mammogram and how often she should be screened.

J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon was one of the first facilities in the region to offer 3D mammography. Now. the hospital’s imaging center wants to help clear up some of the confusion about  the tests.

J.C. Blair will hold its annual Wear Pink Luncheon this coming Friday where the focus will be on helping women determine their own specific risk factors for breast cancer. Nurse practitioner Ramona Shope will also provide guidelines for women to consider for their individual breast health.

You have until Tuesday afternoon to register for the Wear Pink Luncheon, in the Ellis Hall Ballroom at Juniata College. You can find more information at www.jcblair.org, or by calling (814) 643-8675.
