Two people have been arrested after police investigated terroristic threats against the St. Marys Area High School.

Both individuals are currently in custody for processing.
St. Marys Area School District Superintendent Brian Toth says the threat stemmed from a Facebook video that students saw posted this morning.

Toth says the man in the video was identified as former student Joseph Seawright. In the video, he is seen threatening students at the school and even shooting a rifle.

Police are currently trying to locate Seawright and believe he is out of the area.

Toth says Seawright’s girlfriend was taken into custody earlier today…it is unknown what her involvement is concerning this threat.

Police were present at the school the entire day. Toth says no students were not in danger at any time.

“Everybody was safe,” said Toth. “I want to thank all of those who helped keep our kids safe. We will always do our best to provide a safe learning environment.”

The school day went on as normal, but all after-school activities were canceled.

The investigation is ongoing, and police don’t believe anyone else was involved.
